Staking Setup Guide with GUI (Qt) wallet
Stake Solaris in 3 steps (Local wallet)
The coins in your wallet must have 102 Confirmations (Mature) to stake. The arrow will not turn green if there are no mature coins in the wallet.
Encrypt your wallet (skip if already encrypted)
Go to SETTINGS > ENCRYPT WALLET. If your wallet is not encrypted you will be prompted to enter a password. This password is vital to accessing your wallet so DO NOT LOSE IT.
Restart your wallet.
Edit your solaris.conf configuration file
Go to Tools > Open Wallet Configuration File. Open with Notepad if asked.
Insert the following command in the configuration file: “staking=1”
Save the text file and restart your wallet.
Unlock Wallet
Go to Settings > Unlock wallet.
This will present you with a prompt. Enter your password from Step 1. Make sure you check the box labelled “For anonymization and staking only”.
That’s it!
Now that you all set up for staking all you have to do is wait.
Once you see the arrow in the bottom corner of your wallet turn green you will be staking! It can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes to turn green.
